What Do You Need To Learn To Learn Ballet en Pointe?
Pointe work or ballet en pointe, the term given to ballet dancing which takes place wearing pointe shoes and dancing on one’s toes is actually incredibly difficult. Pointe shoes are individually handmade out of a mixture of materials, glue, and basically really stiff cardboard. They made sound loud when a dancer is running - but there is NO wood in them! However, as flimsy as those materials may sound, it takes an immense amount of strength to dance gracefully and safely on them. But the important thing of all is to get yourself ready. You need to learn some pre pointe exercises to help you build those leg muscles of yours. For some, the only way to learn all of these things is to enroll at a ballet school and be under the tutelage of a ballet school teacher which, frankly speaking, could be very boring and downright expensive. Furthermore, going to ballet schools everyday can waste valuable time for other important matters. Now, you don’t have to subject yourself to all of these. You can actually learn ballet right in your own home in your spare time. So you want to dance “en pointe”?
